VISA

Some brief instructions to obtain Visa on time

13 soncnica

Applying for a Visa depends on whether the applicant is an EU or non-EU citizen. Despite the enlargement of the EU, the Schengen zone, and general harmonization of regulations regarding movement within the EU, it is important to understand that most visa issues are under the competence of national states, and therefore there are no single regulations and requirements for all European countries.

Also, in most embassies and consulates there are big delays and administrative difficulties when applying for student visas (sometimes up to 6 months). Therefore, we strongly recommend selected (or potentially selected) students to start all the procedures as soon as possible.

Once an application is admitted to the TRIBOS+ programme he/she should start the procedures to obtain the necessary visa in his/her home countries in the embassy/consulate of the respective European country (first-semester country). Documents confirming admission to the TRIBOS+ programme and confirmation of scholarship will be provided by the Course coordinator. Students will also need a second and third visa when they move to their second (or third) host country in Europe, or to some other place of Internship if decided so.

We advise applicant students to check the national VISA requirements related to their own country of citizenship for all four partner university countries. Please note that in the first year, the two countries to be visited in the TRIBOS+ programme are UK and Slovenia and the appropriate visas need to be obtained with first priority.
